I had a steering problem during a rain storm and now it is like nothing happened? Any idea why?

Water probably got splashed onto the fan belt. Next oil change ask that the shop check your belt paying close attention to the auto tensioner as those can go bad and not keep proper tension on the belt and also make sure the water splash shields are in place and not broken.
